A very Lassiter Christmas

I received this announcement from WFMU’s The Professor today about an upcoming pair of holiday shows that I’ll definitely be listening for:

As a special seasonal treat, I’m offering up two hearty servings of Bob ‘Mad Dog’ Lassiter. However, this time there isn’t going to be any fussin’ or fightin’ over the phone, and no lectures on intellectual honesty either. Instead I’m going to play the 1988 version of Bob’s annual Christmas broadcast.

These shows were legendary. It was the one time a year that Bob would really let his shields down and you could hear the “kid” inside of that big baritone personna.

These special editions of WFMU’s Aircheck are pure Lassiter. No news, no traffic, no commericals. And what does Bob talk about for these two hours? You’re just going to have to listen….

The first hour will run Christmas morning, from 11 am ‘til noon, and part two runs Friday the 26th from 6 to 7 p.m. [EST]

Thanks to Brian Turner, Dave Suisman, and Chris T for making this possible. And special thanks to CJ for offering all of us a chance to hear this recording.

If you happen to miss either of these programs, they will be archived on the Aircheck page.
